Sulphur Filtration Systems
End rotten-egg smell in well water with oxidation filtration sized to your sulphur levels.
Where Does That Rotten-Egg Smell Come From?
The rotten-egg smell in well water comes from hydrogen sulphide, a gas produced by decaying organic matter underground and by sulphur bacteria living in wells and water heaters. Even tiny amounts are noticeable, and the smell gets stronger in hot water. Beyond the odour, hydrogen sulphide corrodes plumbing and fixtures and can leave black stains.
How Sulphur Filtration Works
Our sulphur systems oxidize hydrogen sulphide gas and filter out the resulting particles — with no chlorine or chemicals added to your water. Depending on your sulphur levels we use air-injection oxidation or catalytic carbon, which converts hydrogen sulphide on contact. We test your water first and size the system to your actual sulphur load and flow rate.
