Carbon Filtration Systems
Remove chlorine, chloramine, bad taste and odours — and protect the softeners, UV and RO equipment downstream of it.
What Does Carbon Filtration Remove?
Carbon filtration is the go-to treatment for chlorine and chloramine in municipal water, plus the bad taste, odours and some organics that come with them. It also reduces hydrogen sulphide (rotten-egg smell) in well water. Beyond taste, carbon protects everything downstream: chlorine shortens the life of softener resin and destroys RO membranes, so a carbon filter in front of them pays for itself.
How Catalytic Carbon Works
Our carbon systems use catalytic carbon, which combines adsorption with a catalytic surface that actively breaks down chloramine and hydrogen sulphide — contaminants standard carbon struggles with. Water flows down through the carbon bed, the system backwashes on a schedule to keep the bed clean, and the media typically lasts for years before needing replacement. We size the tank to your flow rate and chlorine or chloramine levels so nothing slips through.
